They are supposed to represent reels of electrical cable, coiled up and sealed from the weather for delivery...the kind you would see being unrolled from the back of a truck or trailer onto power lines. Always drove me nuts that it was done in two castings instead of separate reels.
Looking good, even great if it's freebie :) Yet I don't get what are those cilinders on the car... some industrial devices, I presume.
