I have some flu, too... but I wonder what kind of winter would be that one without us catching some flu?!
On the other hand, this beautiful steam locomotive makes me think about the Finns... and their sauna (& vodka) weaponry against flue, cold and any other season illness. I never was in a sauna, I'm curious.
We have here some "traditional medicine", to avoid pills - boiled wine (white or red, no matter), with a little bit of cinnamon and a little bit of sugar (or honey instead, it's healthier) - and drink it while it's warm or hot. Some people put a few grains of pepper, too - a matter of taste. Not recommended for drivers, at least not until the time-to-bed moment.
Get well soon, sir!
We use a drink made with sweet tea and grapefruit seed extract. The tea hides the bitterness of the extract. It works well to fight it off until you find out it's the flu and not a cold,,,then you have to ride it out with the usual drug store potions.
That locomotive is an old TYCO Chattanooga Choo Choo 2-8-0 that's since been rebuilt.
Good to hear from you brother.
