Classic Metal HO GMC #4103 Trailways Bus, Washington...

Breaking out of my laziness to take pictures in a proper scale setting, I present to you this model of a Trailways bus. I bought it in honor of my dad, a devout union man who, as a temp driver for Trailways, refused to cross a Greyhound picket line when those guys were on strike...sigh.

I like this type of design (look), today's modern buses are cheesy looking. And I have a book (I read it when I was about 12 or 13 yo) - "Greyhound's America", written by a Romanian writer after travelling acros US in the 70s. (huh, here he is: http://www.anablandiana.com/images/cronologia34.jpg )
Pretty impressive how somebody can make your imagination run just by a simple trip on a bus. (And also improves your personal culture).
Best wishes to you and yours, sir!

I took many trips by buss back in the early 80s...kind of miss it sometimes, especially the locals, where you stop at every Podunk town and way station along the way, turning a 3 hour drive into a 7-8 hour one.

Blessings to you and yours friend.
