...a Paperback Swap.com find that would make an excellent inexpensive gift for a new model railroader. Many of the photographs are recognizable to long time Model Railroader magazine readers but it is not a Kalmbach work.

Don't you love the absolute irony of "complete books" on model railroading and how wildly they vary in thickness, content and focus, even though they're suppposed to be "complete"?
Yup, ;-) but this one's pretty good as they go, my Chilton's goes 600+ pages.
