Goodbye, Zaddie...

I'll never forget the delight on your face or Bubbie's when your grand-daughter opened the menorah I had put together in my shop for Christmas that year. Times were tight that year and I kinda rushed it a bit to welcome my new sister-in-law and her family.

I'll never forget you going out of your way to pay your respects at my dad's funeral, knowing your faith required you stay out of the viewing room...and your genuine surprise that I knew and understood that such things were required of you.

In reality, we'd only had a few minutes of conversation over the years but your presence in my life in those moments made a lasting impression.

I wept like a school boy at the news of your passing, something I hadn't done in a long time...even at the news of my mother's passing last year.

I'm sorry I couldn't be there for your family's time of mourning as you were for my family.

Sad event... I am sorry for this loss, sir.
Here's a "pill" that I swallowed whenever somebody beloved passed away

It helps me to get peace of mind and reflect on the person that passed away unto God.

Thank you...it's amazing how much one person can put into your life in a few short minutes.
