Walther's HO scale C&NW Jordan spreader...

...one of my favorite pieces of MOW equipment, now serving another road faithfully. A nice kit, if carefully assembled. I regularly spread the wings on it for an impressive show sitting in a siding.

Dude, after an already eventful hurricane season, I am so ready for winter...

A video of one at play...

I am thrilled to find a fellow believer! Being a retired children's pastor and homeschooling grandmother of a 13 year old granddaughter, I am inspired to find someone who loves souls. About the trains. I inherited several hundred ho gauge (mostly brass) rail cars and locomotives from my brother in law. I have kept a lot of the most unusual cars and engines but would like to sell as many of the others as possible. Because I have no child support for this child and live on disability and alimony, i need to sell things that are not needed to help make ends meet. An antique emporium will sell these cars on consignment for me.... but i have to find the going price online so that i will know what prices to mark on them. Some are very expensive in boxes and many are standard box cars... but all were created with meticulous care with air brush spray paint and weathering according to the thousands of photos this brother in law had in his files. His train room was about 30' x 20' with ventilation for his work. Many of his boxes are of the Overland Brand and many are brass models... i really do not know how to tell which are brass and which are plastic, though. Because they are all weighted, it is confusing. Maybe a magnet would help determine which are brass. The detail on all of them is wonderful.... pipes are made with wires.... the trucks and couplings are metal mostly. I'm having a difficult time finding prices for some items such as the Jordan Spreader and the Pecos River Brass Helium car... I wonder if you could help me figure out some prices on a few of these items? Thanks. And God bless you. Time is short. Hell is hot and the stakes are high! Kathy

I'm sorry for your loss Ms. Kathy. I am thankful for your encouragement. Indeed, time is short and too many are hell bound in the Gospel of a nice guy Jesus, who paid for their moral boo boos, and now wishes to prosper them in other ways without further regard for eternity.

I would love to use what knowledge I have to help you get the most money to support you and your grand daughter. My first bit of advice would be NOT to sell them at a consignment setup. In your current situation, I would highly recommend setting up an eBay and Pay-Pal account and selling them yourself. The commissions are much smaller and the money faster. By posting 5 models a day, you will have a steady stream of income for a long time.

I am more than willing to help you in any way to identify and sell this with no payment expected, as I believe that your situation is exactly what I believe I'm called to in tending to the widows. Please feel free to contact me at http://www.modeltrainforum.com/, my online name is "shaygetz"

I also promise not to tell your grand daughter that you failed science 101--brass is not magnetic :-)
