I have had so far proves of the Lord's mercy (presence)... In example, once He saved me for being killed by... guess what - train, of course. But I am scared for the fact I'm not able to see when He chasten me as a son... at least, not any time.
We call it 20/20 hindsight over here...the idea that you only see things clearly after it happens. That's OK with me, so long as I see that it, in fact, God's hand doing the chastening and not me being stupid...again. :-)
